The Library of the Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis (ISH) was established in 1994. Its collection comprises current titles in the fields of the humanities and social sciences, in particular social and historical anthropology, sociology of culture, media theory, linguistics, and epistemology. The bulk of the collection is in English and French, but there are also several collections of Slovenian translations of quintessential works of the humanities (for instance, Analecta, Krtina, Studia humanitatis).
The library currently holds over 7,000 items, which can be accessed also by external users. Library-goers can make use of a small reading room with computers.
