Club of ceramics Kanal
The Club of ceramics Kanal, established in 1994, seeks to popularise unique ceramics. It joins 26 members that gather at weekly meetings and organise exhibitions to display their latest works in the premises of the Club, for example in 2012 there were exhibitions by Ferdo Žorž, Andreja Krpan, Nives Volk and others. Individual members also participate in workshops and exhibitions elsewhere in Slovenia and abroad. They annually organise group exhibitions in theRiko Debenjak Gallery, the first one taking place in the Gothic house, and exhibitions at the end of the Club's ceramics courses. Various ceramics and sometimes sculpture workshops are organised by the Club and so far they have been led by Dubravka Urban, Alenka Vidrgar, Dragica Čadež, Tone Rački, Petra Škerjanc, Zvonko Bizjak and Darja Žorž.
The Club cooperates with related associations, for example with Ceramics Artists and Pottery Makers Association, the Ceramicists Society POC Ajdovščina and the biennial group exhibition TRANSFORMA is organised in collaboration with Centro Culturale Tullio Cralli from Gorizia.
