The Prešeren Award Recipients Gallery Kranj is located in the 16th-century Pavšlar House in the old town centre. The premises with original frescoes, exposed wooden ceilings, clay brick floors, and illuminated arcades host the permanent collection of the works by the Prešeren Award recipients, presented also individually on the well-conceived temporary exhibitions.

Prešeren Awards are the highest national awards in the field of arts, selected and granted by the national Prešeren Foundation and bestowed since 1947.
