NOTE: Cultural organizations that engage in cultural activities of both Hungarian and Italian minorities, the Romany community and other minority ethnic groups and immigrants in Slovenia, are numerous. These organizations mostly engage in youth and amateur cultural activities, while the Culture.si database focuses on professional arts and culture. At national level the Italian national community is represented in Slovenia by the Coastal Italian Self-Governing National Community Koper-Capodistria. This is an umbrella organisation which has the status of an entity in public law, and communicates with state authorities in the name of the Italian national community residing in the municipalities of Koper-Capodistria, Izola-Isola, and Piran-Pirano. In these three municipalities the Italian national community is organised in municipal Italian self-governing communities. The Council of the Coastal Italian Self-Governing Community has nine members; each of the three municipal self-governing communities has three members in the Council. Its cultural programme and periodical publication (La Citta Monthly, the Izola communities publications Mandrač and La Colomba and the Piran community publication IIl Trillo)) are supported by the Ministry of Culture.
