Since 1998, the Stripoteka Collection of comics has been a special department of Ljubljana's Oton Župančič Library. The collection consists of comic art anthologies, comic art theory, and a wide selection of international and Slovene comic art series. Pupils and students can read the comics and also take part in comic drawing and scriptwriting workshops which are organised twice a year, mostly in cooperation with the editorial board of Stripburger.
In 2003 the Stripoteka Collection participated in the international animation workshop "Let's Animate in Europe", organised in Chemnitz, Germany, within the framework of the "Youth for Europe" project. The Oton Župančič Library also takes part in the project "Library as Community Centre", run by the Open Society Institute from Budapest.
