Acta Historiae Artis Slovenica is a scientific journal published by France Stele Institute of Art History and established in 1996. Its aim is to publish the results of research studies in the history of art in Slovenia and research studies in its wider European context. Its international advisory board in 2009 consisted of 7 experts from Austria (Salzburg, Vienna), Germany (Munich), Croatia (Zagreb), and Italy (Venice, Trieste, and Gorizia). The journal is edited by the Editorial Board in cooperation with an International Advisory Board.
The journal appears biannually (mid-summer and fall) and consists of approximately 200 pages; the papers are illustrated with black-and-white as well as colour reproductions. The texts by non-Slovene authors are printed in the original language with Slovenian summaries added, and summaries in other languages are added to Slovenian texts. Indexes and abstracts for recent issues are available at the journal's website. The publication is distributed by ZRC Publishing.
