Mission
In the words of the poet and editor-in-chief Dejan Koban, the idea for a new publishing house was born in the middle of a devastated, catastrophic literary field. The space for poetry is shrinking, and so are the resources. Young authors are overlooked, and publishing houses are more and more tactically opting for prose, especially novels, as these are more commercially successful. Črna skrinjica resists these trends and gives a chance to poetry that has no place in the established publishing houses, poetry that has a character of its own and bucks poetic trends. The ultimate goal is to show that poetry books are read much more than it might appear at first glance.
Črna skrinjica has its own editorial policy that differs from the editorial mainstream and covers poetry that is less visible and more blurred, poetry that lures you a little further into the woods and a little further down the rabbit hole. The focus is on singular poetics that stand out from the rest – unbridled lyrical currents that hit you straight in the head.
The Črna skrinijca team consists of editor in chief Dejan Koban, co-editor Miha Maurič, graphic designer Jana Kumberger and proofreader Jernej Zupanič.

Črna skrinjica has released poetry by Urša Majcen, Rok Korošec, Gregor Kosi, Pino Pograjc, Jernej Zupanič, Sergej Harlamov, Lenart Sušnik, Pavla Zabret, Nela Poberžnik, Hana Meško, Hannah Koselj Marušič, Vid Karlovšek, Martin Mikolič and others.

Recent publications include the poetry collections Ekosistem tišine by Urša Majcen, Rokopiss by Rok Korošec, Porini me v kader by Gregor Kosi, Zategadalj by Karl Hmeljak, Bakanalije by Pino Pograjc, V pogonu utripa by Miha Maurič and many more. Črna skrinjica also released an anthology of young Slovenian poets titled Bog si ga drka na nas.
