The International Federation of Arts Councils and Cultural Agencies (IFACCA) is the first global network of national arts funding bodies. Since it was founded in 2001, the Federation has grown rapidly to include organisations from over 30 countries, from Finland to the Philippines, Columbia to the Congo. Through sharing information and expertise with their international colleagues, IFACCA's member agencies are not only better fulfilling their own goals of supporting the arts and cultural diversity, but are also helping others to do the same. In this way the Federation's unique co-operative approach is leading the way to stronger, better informed government support for the arts.

IFACCA's resources include the fortnightly E-bulletin Acorns, which contains the latest international arts news, national arts agency updates, job opportunities, publications and events. Updated daily, IFACCA's website http://www.ifacca.org with its country profiles, online bibliographies, portal to arts agency resources, links to academic research units and discussion forums, seeks to provide an essential first base for international reserarch needs. IFACCA runs an 'Ask IFACCA' E-mail service and the premium research service D'art, which brings together international expertise in reports on selected arts topics such as philanthropy, conflict of interest, copyright and cultural statistics. Through its innovative Future Leaders Exchange (FLEx) programme, IFACCA aims to build international staff exchanges.

IFACCA is also the organiser of the World Summit on the Arts and Culture, which brings together the world's arts and culture leaders in to explore and debate current issues. The first Summit was held in Canada in 2000, the second Summit in Singapore in 2003 and the third Summit in the United Kingdom in 2006.

IFACCA is pleased to assist arts funding agencies in forging regional networks, developing joint initiatives and organising mini-summits that explore key policy concerns.
