Slovene Study Library in Klagenfurt
History in brief
The very first beginnings of Slovene libraries in Carinthia date back to 1920s. In 1927 the Slovene Education Association, formerly known as the Slovene Christian Social Association, founded the first central library, which later became the Slovene National Study Library. During the Second World War and the Third Reich a large part of the library fond was destroyed or confiscated.
