From 1965 he directed more than 30 documentaries – also for Radio-Television Slovenia (RTV Slovenia) – and several feature films, Zadnji kretničar ozkotirne proge [The Last Switchman of the Narrow Gauge Railway] (1986); Čudoviti prah [Beautiful Dust] (1975), numerous TV movies, and around 20 portraits of various personalities. His films have been presented at several international festivals, while Ljubić himself has participated in various film congresses. For a period of time in the 1970s and 1980s he was the Managing Director and Head of Production at Viba Film. Later, when the old Viba Film closed, he established Infofilm in 2001.
