Archival article
Tomaž Jastrobnik studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana and was trained at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and Westminster University, London. In 1992 he presented his first men's collection at the international fashion festival in Opatija, Croatia; in 1993 he won the national selection in the Smirnoff Fashion Awards competition and was represented in Sao Paulo, Brazil; in 1997 he presented men's avant-garde and women's haute couture collections at the Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean in Torino, Italy and in Helsinki, Finland; in 2003 he was Junior Designer at the Zandra Rhodes fashion design studio in London and his creative skills were further moulded at the London Fashion and Textile Museum; and in 2004 he presented his work in Greece and Cyprus. Also in that year his creations were presented at the Fresh exhibition of Slovene contemporary fashion design, hosted by Maribor Art Gallery.
