In 2005 the programme of the MIKK Youth Information Cultural Club, Murska Sobota was expanded with the establishment of the 400-square-metre KRIK Multimedia Centre Pomurje (MMC Pomurje) within the former library of Murska Sobota Castle. With cutting-edge IT and free public Internet access, the centre aims to promote new media culture in the the Pomurje region, undertaking educational activities and facilitating multimedia production in the field of video, film, sound, photography, and music. The centre is a part of the M3C Multimedia Centres Network of Slovenia and maintains Krik-ms.si regional culture portal.
