The Kozina Award is bestowed by the Society of Slovene composers. Since 1994 it has been the most important professional recognition awarded to fellow composers. The award is granted each year on 4 June, the Birth Anniversary of composer Marjan Kozina (1907–1966). The award is festively presented with a Certificate of Recognition and remuneration.
