The Koper Music School today comprises a community of performers, composers, and educators at its headquarters in Koper and two subsidiary schools in Piran and Izola. In 1999 the school offered music education for grammar schools. When art secondary schools were introduced in 2003, the cooperation resulted in a combined musical education for secondary schools. Approximately 23 instructors from the Koper Music School are involved in music education within the secondary school programme of the [[Koper Grammar School - Ginnasio Capodistria]]. Students of the School particpate in the regional and national musical competitions ([[Slovene Young Musicians Competition]]).
