Mission and cultural cooperation
The main mission of the ASEF is to build a bridge between academia and business excellency by linking promising students from Slovenia with university and industry mentors in the U.S. as well as doing the same for American students in Slovenia. Although Slovenia and the US are target countries, the foundation also seeks opportunities for American investors in Central and Eastern Europe countries.
In 2014 the foundation, together with Stanford University Computer Science, launched a summer internship program at Stanford University for students of the University of Ljubljana. Its goal is also to foster short cultural exchange programmes for students. One of the donors is also Slowind quintet from Ljubljana.
