Azil was established in October 2003 by the Scientific Research Centre (ZRC SAZU), Slovene Academy of Science and Arts, next door to its premises in the centre of Ljubljana. They offer a discount on books published by ZRC Publishing for members of their book club. Customers are also invited to place orders on books published by their international associates that the bookstore does not currently carry.
