About
Center for Architecture Slovenia (CAS), an Institute for Development of Spatial Culture, was founded in 2013 in Ljubljana.
Playful Architecture
Igriva architecture or Playful Architecture is an educational programme for children and youth, it focuses on space, architecture and design in our environment, raising awareness about the importance of the quality of built/designed space. The programme has been organised round Slovenia, and got awarded with Plečnik Medal in 2013, for its contribution to architectural culture.
The Gift of Slovenian Architecture
The Center for Architecture Slovenia initiated a collection of products/souvenirs with motifs from key works from Slovenian architectural heritage and contemporary architecture (e.g. Jože Plečnik, Ivan Vurnik, Helena Kottler Vurnik, and Edvard Ravnikar. The products have been created in collaboration with educational institutions, for instance with the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts and Design. Together with the Department of Textiles, Graphic Arts and Design at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering they designed a corporate visual identity for Maks Fabiani’s Year 2015 (150th anniversary) and textile products.
