Revision as of 14:51, 5 March 2018
Aimed at encouraging an overall development of the field of contemporary dance, the awards are conferred biannually on choreographers, dancers, dance pedagogues, critics, theoreticians, producers, light, set, and sound designers to celebrate achievements across a range of categories.
The awards are named after choreographer and dancer Ksenija Hribar (1938–1999), who was the driving force behind the struggle for the institutionalisation and professionalisation of contemporary dance in Slovenia.
