Matkurja.com was the first Slovene web directory and used to be the Slovenia's most popular search engine (today rated 60th), with small bits of information in English. Mat'kurja means "the hen's mother" – a comment on the geographical shape of Slovenia, which is also visible in the memorable illustration by Tomaž Lavrič.
