The selection of Slovene theatre productions for children and young people in the competition programme of the 12th Golden Stick Festival included three productions of Theatre for Children and Youth (GOML), two performances produced by [[Koper Theatre]] and one performance from the following theatre houses: [[Slovene People’s Theatre (SLG) Celje]], [[Prešeren Theatre Kranj]], the Slovene Permanent Theatre of Trieste and [[ŠKUC Association]]. The theatre groups presented texts by H C Andersen and Aurand Harris, and several Slovene authors, eg Bina Štampe Žmavc, Rokgre, Andreja Kovač, Tone Pavček, Nina Kokelj. Accompanying international programme presented plays from Asguer ZAP Showtheater Holbæk from Denmark, La Baracca Theatre from Bologna, Italy, Thalias Kompagnons Theater from Nuernberg, Germany and Mala scena Zagreb, Croatia. The festival hosted also some lecturers: Hasan Erkek from Turkey, Dr Wolfgang Schneider from Germany, and Roberto Frabetti lecturing on the European project Small Size - theatre for children from 0 to 6 years'.
