− | Opened in May 2001, this authentic raftsman's house of the Šarman family is located on the banks of the River Drava close to the Dravograd-Maribor main road. It depicts various episodes from the life of the local people by the River Drava from the old border between the counties of Carinthia and Steiermark by Dravograd to lumber-trade destinations in Belgrade, Hungary and Romania. The exhibition includes documents (photos and written originals) and many authentic objects from raftsmen’s everyday life in its original ambience and surroundings. Illustrated stories on the walls and original narratives from the soundtrack give an impressive picture of the nostalgic memories from yesterday's world, frozen in time on the excellent old photographs, taken before the Second World War by raftsman leader Ludvik Cepec from Javnik. | + | Opened in May [[established::2001]], this [[Javnik Wood Rafting Museum|authentic raftsman's house]] of the Šarman family is located on the banks of the River Drava close to the Dravograd-Maribor main road.
