The Štaderzen Production was founded in 2003 by Dražen Štader, born in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, who graduated at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana and later also in film directing at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (AGRFT) in Ljubljana. The film production company creates commercials, TV shows, web films, corporate films, short films, and feature films.


Dražen Štader's first film was In Transit (2000), which was awarded as the best student film at the Festival of Slovenian Film, followed by Žile, Sweet Life (2001), Orgasmus (2002) and the documentary film Rudi Omota: The Overlooked Chapter of Slovene Cinematography (2004).
