The homestead of Janez Jalen in Rodine is only one of the spots on the cultural heritage route in municipality Žirovnica. The others include Birthplace of Dr France Prešeren, Vrba, Birthplace of Franc Saleški Finžgar, Žirovnica, and Birthplace of Matija Čop.
