The group is a co-producer of the Folkart International Folklore Festival, Maribor at the Lent Festival in Maribor and is a member of the International Council for Organisations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Art (CIOFF), Slovenia. It has toured Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australia and participated in festivals in Austria, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Turkey, Canada, Israel, Hungary, Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Macao, Puerto Rico, Macedonia, Serbia, Australia, Peru, Portugal, and Japan (CIOFF World Folkloriada). The Študent Group and its artistic leader Vasja Samec have received several awards.
