The Slovenian Scientific Institute Vienna was established in 2000 with the support of the University of Ljubljana and the University of Maribor in order to promote bilateral scientific cooperation between institutions and individuals in Slovenia and Austria. The institute offers support, grants and organisational help to researchers and institutions and also cares about the promotion of Slovene heritage in Vienna.
