The [[Europe Centre]] was established in 1999 as an information centre of the European Commission Representation in Slovenia in order to make thorough information on the EU widely accessible to the general public. Every issue concerned with the EU, its history, institutions, legislation, policies and enlargement procedure and with the accession of Slovenia into the EU in 2004 may be discussed or explored here, and the Slovene ‘Window into Europe’ is open 37 hours a week. All of the necessary documents, data and contacts on legal procedures and cultural, economic, information society or civil society programmes are available for research, along with EU brochures, newsletters and magazines in various EU languages and in Slovene. The library contains the main European newspapers plus digital databases or books. Various cultural events, film screenings with guest speakers, panel discussions and presentations are organised in the auditorium. | The [[Europe Centre]] was established in 1999 as an information centre of the European Commission Representation in Slovenia in order to make thorough information on the EU widely accessible to the general public.
