The Sunflower Gallery received its name from the children's book collection Sunflower [Sončnica] which the Mladinska knjiga Publishing House has been publishing for years. It operates under the logo of the happy sun created by the popular Slovene illustrator of children's books Lilijana Praprotnik Zupančič alias Lila Prap.
Programme
The Sunflower Gallery regularly prepares mostly solo exhibitions in monthly intervals. As a rule it features recent illustrations and in this way also promotes newly published books.

Occasionally the gallery has also featured the results of different competitions prepared by magazines of the Mladinska knjiga Publishing House, either photo or drawing competitions.
