Kino Udarnik Maribor is housed in a 1920s building which was originally designed as the elite Maribor city cinema hall. Today it is the last old city cinema hall in which it is possible to project 35mm films with a screen ratio of 11m x 5m. The cinema screens art films every Tuesday and Wednesday and is the key venue for the main programme and major documentary categories of the DokMa International Film Festival.


The cinema is a member of the Artkino mreža (Art Cinema Network), which distributes selected high-quality films around Slovenia.
