Lirikonfest
The central event held under the auspices of the Literary Foundation is the international festival Lirikonfest, part of which is also Herberstein's Literary Meeting of Slovene Writers. The meeting features various symposia and involves the participation of more than 100 guests, theoreticians, translators and artists from Slovenia and abroad. The Foundation organises readings of Slovene and translated poetry called Lirikon(fest) Tastings [Lirikon(fest)ove degustacije], touring Slovenia and foreign festivals.
Awards
In cooperation with the literary association Velenika, it presents the international Pretnar award to ambassadors of Slovene literature and language abroad and the Cup of Immortality [Čaša nesmrtnosti], an award for outstanding oeuvres of poetry or poetic drama for youth by Slovene authors that have left a mark on 21st century literature.
