The collection and library
The library of the collection comprises 402 units (338 titles) from the fields of classical literature, French literature, philosophy, education, and the natural sciences. The natural sciences section ranges from ancient books on alchemy to contemporary chemistry, physics and biology manuals. The medical sciences and pharmacy are presented separately. Ancient instruments are represented by various needles, two Roman surgical probes and tweezers from the 1st–3rd centuries CE. The classical collection is rounded off by antique weights and a balsamarium.
