Background
The Discography unit produces, publishes and distributes audio programmes for almost 40 years, video programmes had joined the musical editions over 20 years ago. Since the very beginning the unit takes care for all music genres: rock, pop, folk music, jazz, classical music, opera, ballet and chanson. It was one of the most powerful publishing groups in the 70s and 80s in former Yugoslavia. In the last couple of years it is directly connected with radio and TV programmes in a sense of promotion, recovery and publishing of precious audio and video archive and support to new projects.
Publishing
The unit yearly publishes 80 to 90 quality programmes from all music genres (kids animation, documentaries, feature film projects). Since they are a part of the RTV Slovenia Multimedia Centre they are extending their publishing activity also to new media. The Discography unit had already published CD’s and DVD’s from famous orchestras and artists such as RTV Slovenia Big Band, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Dubravka Tomšič, Janez Lotrič, Vinko Globokar and many more.
