The studio of Kombinat Architects was established in 2008 by architects Tomaž Čeligoj, Ana Grk, Alenka Korenjak, and Blaž Kandus. In 2008 the studio won the first prize at the Ljubljana Marketplace competition for the system of underground parking, the extension to the Mahr house, and the regulation of the surrounding public space.

In collaboration with the ProstoRož - FlowerSpace Association, whose joint members are Ana Grk and Alenka Korenjak, Kombinat Architects renovated both the Plečnik Underpass and the Tivoli Underpass in Ljubljana (2009).

Background

Tomaž Čeligoj previously worked with the SADAR + VUGA Architects studio. As a freelance architect he later successfully entered several competitions in cooperation with different co-workers, including Alenka Korenjak. Together they won the competition for the revitalisation of the main square in Slovenj Gradec (2005). The project was completed in 2010.
