[[Litija Library]] was formerly known as Dr Slavko Grum Principal Library and formed part of the Institute for Education and Culture. Since [[established::2004]] it has operated as an independent institution comprising the main unit in Litija and (since 2007) a branch unit in Šmartno, plus a travelling library. Comprising a total area of 320 square metres, it provides users with access to a wide spectrum of literature and a reading room of 20 places. Internet and database access is available at computer terminals. Events relating to literature are organised regularly for children, young people and adults.
