The merger of ATELIERarhitekti was initiated by a long collaboration with [[Rok Žnidaršič]] and [[Jerneja Fischer Knap]]. Awards
The European Prize for Urban Public Space, a biennial competition organised by seven European institutions, was awarderd to ATELIERarhitekti in 2012 for the Renovation of the Banks of the River Ljubljanica, a joint project that also includes the works of Boris Podrecca, BB arhitekti, Atelje Vozlič, DANS Arhitekti, Trije arhitekti, Medprostor arhitekti, and Urbi.
In 2012 Jurij Kobe and Rok Žnidaršič received the Plečnik Award for the reconstructed former Minorite convent, now home to the Maribor Puppet Theatre.
