Background
In the past the programme of the Metalcamp, a MetalDays predecessor, has hosted as many as 40 acclaimed bands on the main Metal Stage and 44 young bands on the Talent Forum Stage.
The line-up of bands in past editions of the festival has included: Danzig, Apocalyptica, Hypocrisy, Noctiferia, Primal Fear, Slayer, Anthrax, Obituary, Soulfly, Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Motörhead, Cradle of Filth, Sepultura, Kreator, Immortal, Korpiklaani, Pain, The Exploited, Ministry, In Flames, Morbid Angels, Nightwish, Down, Cannibal Corpse, Over Kill, Behemoth and Sabaton.
Programme
The 2013 programme included Annihilator, Hypocrisy, Iced Earth, In Flames, King Diamond, Mayhem, Sonata Arctica and Wintersun, while the 2014 line-up presented 50 bands, among them Children of Bodom , Amorphis (FI), Volbeat (DK), Opeth Sabaton (SE), Satyricon (NO), Heaven Shall Burn (D) and Megadeth (USA).
Venue
The festival site Sotočje is located on a peninsula between the turquoise mountain rivers Soča and Tolminka.
