Publishing programme
A special task of the Libris company is to publish and promote the literature of the Slovene Istria region. The bookshops offer more than 25,000 book titles, comprising mostly non-commercial literature and humanities books. In collaboration with the University of Primorska and other educational institutions, they also offer books for youth and students. Libris Publishing House received the Schwentner Award for achievements in the field of publishing.
Reading culture
The Libris bookshops serve also as a venue of literary events. Presentations of various authors and books, lectures on history and society, readings in local language dialect and the events that develop reading culture are organised regularly.
