[[Exodos Institute]] has been registered as a non-for-profit cultural institution (zavod) with the aim of producing the Exodos International Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, a prestigious event which, during its 12 years of existence, has presented in Ljubljana numerous performances by foreign artists. A sudden cut of the financial support the Exodos Festival had to be temporarily transformed into other forms: art educational practices (eg Coaching workshop) and international co-productions of stage performances. Up to 2007 Exodos institute produced or co-produced 14 performances by Slovene and international authors (Matej Kejžar, Ivan Peternelj, Leja Jurešič, Boštjan Antončič, Jurij Konjar, Gabrielle Nankivell, Ana Stegnar, Magdalena Reiter, Damjana Černe). Established in 1999, Exodos Institute is a non-profit cultural institution for production of cultural events. Besides organising the annual Exodos International Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, Exodos has also produced the biannual Gibanica (Moving Cake) Festival of Slovene Dance since 2003.
