The Slovene Comparative Literature Association is a voluntary group of scholars and graduates active in the study of comparative and general Slovene literature. Its objective is to advance the discipline of literature, to co-ordinate comparative literature projects, to popularise new achievements in the field and to promote Slovene comparative linguistics through international contacts. Being a member of International Comparative Literature Association (ICLA/AILC), it organises lectures and symposia (eg the international conference ‘How to write Literary History Today', 2002). Every two years it publishes the comparative literature review Primerjalna književnost.
