The selection of Slovene theatre productions for children and young people in the competition programme of the 12th Golden Stick Festival included three productions of Theatre for Children and Youth (GOML), two performances produced by [[Koper Theatre]] and one performance from the following theatre houses: [[Slovene People’s Theatre (SLG) Celje]], [[Prešeren Theatre Kranj]], the Slovene Permanent Theatre of Trieste and [[ŠKUC Association]]. The festival hosted also some lecturers: Hasan Erkek from Turkey, Dr Wolfgang Schneider from Germany, and Roberto Frabetti lecturing on the European project Small Size - theatre for children from 0 to 6 years'.

The annual Golden Stick Festival is a festival of children's and young people's theatre organised annually. It concludes with the presentation of the Little Golden Stick Awards.
