Established in 1992, Artes Gallery is a private gallery located in Nova Gorica, close to the Italian border. Since its establishment it has organised more than 150 exhibitions, mostly solo exhibitions by well-known Slovene and international visual artists (e.g. Lojze Spacal, BridA), and some of them in co-operation with other cultural institutions (e.g. Nova Gorica City Gallery, Gorica Cultural Centre in Italy, and various other Slovene and foreign galleries). Each October the gallery co-organises an annual meeting of visual artists in Medana (MMM Art - Medana International Fine Arts Workshop) whilst also hosting international participants, visual projects, book presentations and auctions.
