In its long history Slovenska matica has published over 600 titles. Its programme has a long tradition in publishing translations of basic philosophy texts (Socrates, Schelling, Nietzsche, Bergson, etc) in its Philosophy Booklet collection. It has also covered areas such as history, art history and literary history, including basic works by Slovene art historians such as [[Izidor Cankar]], [[Nace Šumi]] and [[Marjan Zadnikar]], and architects (Essays by [[Edvard Ravnikar]]). Slovenska matica organises panel discussions and symposia on various themes (the role of humanities in the elementary and secondary education, the economy of culture and the culture of economy, [[Edvard Kocbek]]). |
