− | + | KUD Ljud is a group of individuals who believe in the theatre as a "live" art that is in sync with the present times. They conceive their theatre performances as a game, a ritual or an interactive social event, often set it in public spaces, combining different media, genres, styles and techniques. | |

The Invasion project
Since August 2008 KUD Ljud has organised a series of theatrical interventions into public space, in co-production with La Strada Festival of Graz and IN SITU European Network for Artistic Activities in Public Spaces. Ten diverse creatures address the issues of (non)communication and (non)acceptance of diversity in the context of urban public environment. The Electric Invasions directed by Vida Cerkvenik Bren and Jaša Jenull were presented in Graz and on several international festivals, including the Festival d’Aurillac (France), the Acco International Festival of Alternative Theatre (Israel), the Linzer Pflasterspektakel (Austria) and the Belaya Vezha (Belarus).
International co-operation
In 2009 KUD Ljud initiated a multi-annual project H.O.M.E., Houses of open mobility exchange that has been supported from the EU Culture programme funds. The partners in the project were Notranjska Ecology Centre (NEC), Lomomania (Portugal), YEPCE (France), OFA (Sweden) and Sacred Places Vzw (FR). The network of "residential houses" has been set up to form an informal mobility mechanism, where the host and the hosted live and work together in various urban environments, cf. the web platform Streetwalker.net.
