Formed in 2011 exclusively to participate on Club Marathon, this eclectic trio consists of Tina Perić (vocals), Matija Dolenc (guitar, electronics) and Jernej Koren (drums). Although coming from different musical backgrounds (Matija was producing psy-trance music under stage name Dark Summer and Jernej plays bass in ŠKM Banda and Bekko) they found a common urge to explore sounds within elusive mixture of electronic music, punk and electro pop. They released their début album Passion for Red in the spring of 2012 under KAPA records.

Genre and lyrics

The band has a great social commitment towards ruling political system expressed within the lyrics. Perić's words are slightly provocative and critical towards capitalistic machinery, mass consumption and passiveness of the people, sung in English and Serbian language. The music itself could be easily compared to Peaches, mixing electronic backgrounds with strong drum lines and firm vocals, with a admixture of Balkan passion.

Performances

The extreme presence of the female vocalist, whose live performance is persuasive, striking and seductive, makes every show by Ludovik Material a special experience. In addition to temperamental and performative stage pose of front woman the performances are escorted with professional attitude of other two members which makes Ludovik Material one of the must see live acts any time and anywhere.

They also performed on Red Dawns, KAPA records and God Bless This Mess festivals and had a great number of solo concerts around Slovenia and one in Zagreb.
