Named after Mile Klopčič (1905–1984), Slovene poet and translator, the Zagorje ob Savi Library was established in 1945. It was relocated to Delavski dom Zagorje Cultural Centre in 1960. Today it runs branches in Kisovec and Izlake. As a prominent cultural and educational centre in the region, the library hosts an array of activities for library-goers of all ages. Children can take part in story-telling hours, creative workshops, quizzes, and courses in effectively using the available library resources, whereas literary evenings, author meetings, book clubs, and various lectures cater for adult members.
