Enota ('Unit') was founded in December 1998 in Ljubljana by Aljoša Dekleva, Dean Lah and Milan Tomac. In 2003 Aljoša Dekleva left the company to set up Dekleva Gregorič Arhitekti. The ambition of Enota is to create a contemporary and critical architectural practice of an open type. At this moment there are seven active members in the office. In 2006 the group won the Plečnik Award for the Sotelia Hotel at Olimje Spa in Podčetrtek. The same architecture complex got some other prizes, eg Piranesi Award and the Golden Feather granted by the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia (ZAPS) and was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Prize). Other recent projects include Tuhelj Spa, Croatia (2003–2006), Maribor Bank NKBM Branch, Ljubljana (2001–2002), Termalija Wellness Centre at Olimlje Spa (2003–2004) and Dominican Monastery at Ptuj (2010–2014).
