Established in 1992, Artes Gallery is a private gallery located in Nova Gorica, close to the Italian border. Since its establishment it has organised more than 100 exhibitions, mostly solo exhibitions by well-known Slovene and international visual artists, and some of them in co-operation with other cultural institutions (eg Nova Gorica City Gallery, Gorica Cultural Centre in Italy, and various other Slovene and foreign galleries). Each October the gallery organises an annual meeting of visual artists in Medana (MMM Art - Medana International Fine Arts Workshop) whilst also hosting international participants, visual projects, book presentations and auctions. In 2007 the gallery presented Lojze Spacal and BridA collective.
