Eight Slovene designers (from OLoOP Design, Bevk Perović Arhitekti, AKSL Arhitekti, AlmiraSadar, BelaBela, Pleksimanija, Studio Drevo and Janez Suhadolc) presented at Common Roots - Design map of Central Europe exhibition, and Cvetka Požar from Museum of Architecture and Design, Ljubljana, as workshops and seminars participant, supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia Tel Aviv
Bevk-Perović Arhitekti was founded in 1997 by Matija Bevk and Vasa J Perović. Matija Bevk graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana in 1999, while Vasa J Perović graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade and did a Masters degree at the Berlage Institute of Architecture in Amsterdam in 1992-1994.
Its most renowned projects include Housing in Polje, Šiška and Mostec in Ljubljana; Kočevje School (Piranesi Award winner, 2003), the Royal Netherlands Embassy (nomination for the Mies van der Rohe Prize, 2004), Prototype Bus Shelter, Faculty of Mathematics, University of Ljubljana (awarded the Mies van der Rohe Emerging Architect Special Mention, 2007), Student Housing at Poljanska cesta and Nove Poljane housing in Ljubljana (Plečnik Prize for Architecture, 2007). For their achievements in the period 2002-2004 they received the Prešeren Foundation Award, and in 2006 they received the Kunstpreis Berlin. The Brdo Congress Hall building is in construction.
Bevk-Perović Arhitekti also runs the T-5 Project Space (Pecha Kucha Ljubljana).
