Astrum is a distributor, publisher and producer of sheet music. It mostly deals in choral and classical music, but also publishes various educational materials as well as scores for contemporary pop music. Its repertoire also encompasses music CDs that accompany the scores.

Astrum distributes its works as far as in the USA and Japan, and also represents some Slovene composers abroad. It is the official Slovene distributor for the works of Carus-Verlag and Stuttgar publishing companies.

The company works in close contact with a number of Slovene choirs, educational and research institutions, and composers. For example, it published a collection of works created for the Academic Choir Tone Tomšič, and markets the Monumenta artis musicae Sloveniae, a series of scholarly critical editions of the monuments of Slovene music, published jointly by the Institute of Musicology and the Scientific Research Centre (ZRC SAZU), Slovene Academy of Science and Arts.
