The Consulate of the Republic of Cyprus in Slovenia provides consular, economic, and cultural services. Consular affairs consist of providing information and assistance to Cypriot citizens residing in or visiting Slovenia, and visa services. The Consulate of the Republic of Cyprus is located in the centre of Ljubljana. The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus was opened in August 2007 but closed in 2013.

Cultural programme

The consulate supports cultural cooperation between Cyprus and Slovenia. The first document related to cooperation in the field of culture, education, and science was the Convention between the Governments of Cyprus and Yugoslavia signed as early as 1969. The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus on Cooperation in the Fields of Culture, Education and Science was signed in Ljubljana in 1999.
