Set in a town in the northern Slovenian region of Koroška, the KOFF Koroška Outdoor Film Festival first took place in 2012. It is a partner festival of the BOFF Bovec Outdoor Film Festival, and is actually made in co-production between the creators of BOFF and a local crew from Koroška. Held at Narodni dom Mežica, it lasts for a day and presents about a dozen films, usually documentaries on extreme sports, ecology, nature and various outdoor adventure feats.
Programme
Most of the chosen films are hand-picked from the programme of the BOFF Bovec Outdoor Film Festival, which takes place about a month or two before. Besides these films, which are predominantly of an international character, the festival sometimes also shows some pieces done by film makers from the region. Usually, the festival also features an accompanying programme in the form of lectures (by, for example, well-known mountaineers) and workshops.
